About the area

Arizona's Sun Cities and Surprise are located about 45 minutes driving time northwest of Phoenix and about 50 minutes driving time from Sky Harbor International Airport. As you can see from the map below, the area is close to the State’s highway system, with easy access to the Grand Canyon, Laughlin and Las Vegas. Nogales, Mexico is about 3 ½ hours driving time South of the Sun Cities. 

Many activities are available to area residents. Lake Pleasant Regional Park, located 25 minutes North from Sun City, offers picnicking, fishing, boating, water skiing and camping.  Extensive hiking and camping areas are found at the White Tanks Regional Park, less than 30 minutes west of the area.
